
On Tuesday, Zoom said that it was limiting new user registrations in mainland China to enterprise customers only.
According to a statement from the company, free users in mainland China can continue attending meetings hosted by registered customers, while new user registrations are open only to enterprise customers who register through authorized sales representatives.

While Zoom has seen a spike in demand for its services, it has faced an outcry from information security experts and consumers alike over a range of privacy and security problems that have forced it to suspend new feature development for 90 days to address the concerns.
