Tech firms are creating their contact tracking systems to help deter outbreaks of coronavirus in their workplaces, as countries continue to relax lockdown policies, and workers begin to return to offices.
In an interview, Juniper Networks Inc’s vice president, Jeff Aaron, said that they plan to equip its approximately 10,000 employees with work identification badge holders with a Bluetooth chip that will help record the movements and interactions of a worker in the office.
The device uses Wi-Fi routers and access points that communicate with the badges with the Bluetooth chips and gathers the data. The data gathered will help decide which employees need to be tested for coronavirus and which need to be isolated if an employee test positive for coronavirus.
Many other companies are developing coronavirus tracing software and devices in an attempt at stopping outbreaks of coronavirus in offices and workplaces, with many already being tested in workplace environments.
