On Sunday, the Health Ministry announced that over the past 24 hours, Brazil recorded 653 new coronavirus fatalities, bringing the total death toll in the country to 22,666.
In total, Brazil has reported 363,211 confirmed cases of coronavirus, a rise of 15,813 cases from Saturday, the ministry announced. Brazil is currently the world’s No. 2 coronavirus hotspot behind the United States.
