
In partnership with the Korean pop band, BTS, Samsung is allegedly planning to introduce the limited edition version of Galaxy S20 + and will be named the Galaxy S20 + BTS Edition. The phone is expected to come in a Purple color option, with the pre-sale beginning on June 19. Additionally, the South Korean tech giant has also partnered with French retail chain Fnac for the global launch of the Galaxy S20 + BTS edition.
Samsung hinted at the launch of the BTS version of a Galaxy smartphone on July 9 from its Twitter page. The phone box in the teaser is decorated with seven hearts, signifying the South Korean pop band’s seven members, and it also bears the BTS band logo. Lastly, the South Korean tech giant added that the new Galaxy phone BTS Edition pre-booking would begin on June 19, adding that it will continue till July 5.
Samsung will allegedly partner with the French retail chain Fnac for the global launch of the phone.
Samsung’s Twitter post also notes that the smartphone’s availability may “vary by country.”
The Samsung Galaxy S20 + BTS Edition is expected to arrive with the same features as the initial Samsung Galaxy S20 + with minor design and software-level tweaks. More information regarding the phone is expected to be released in the coming weeks.
To note, the Samsung Galaxy S20+ debuted in February. The phone has an Infinity-O Dynamic AMOLED 2X display measuring 6.7 inches and is fuelled by the Samsung Exynos 990, combined with 8 GB of RAM. Additionally, the handset has triple rear cameras and a single 10-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. The Galaxy S20 + also packs a 4,500mAh battery and an Android 10 operating system with One UI 2.1 on top of it.
