On Thursday, Arturo Herrera, Mexicos finance minister, said he had tested positive for the novel coronavirus, becoming the highest-profile member of President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador’s government to fall ill from the virus.
On Twitter, Herrera claimed that he only had “minor” symptoms of the novel coronavirus, which has plagued Mexico’s economy for several months and taken life to a stop.
Herrera said on Twitter:
“From this moment I will be in quarantine, and continue working from my house,”
