
According to a report, Apple will release a 12.9 iPad Pro with a Mini-LED display in the first quarter of 2021. The iPad Pro may also be accompanied by a 16-inch MacBook Pro and a revised 14-inch MacBook Pro. Apple has been sourcing suppliers for the latest MacBook Pro models Mini-LED technology. For this, Apple may be looking at Taiwanese suppliers.
According to Trendforce, the latest 12.9-inch iPad Pro will come with a Mini-LED panel, which will offer strong contrast ratios, broad dynamic range, and a vivid color palette. The iPad Pro will be equipped with 10,384 Mini-LED chips, which will provide high color saturation through local dimming and an impressive contrast ratio.
Amid ongoing trade wars, Apple may be looking to move away from China to tap Taiwan’s Mini-LED manufacturers to ensure a stable supply chain.
