Ecuador: 362 new COVID-19 cases, 9 fatalities reported

On Monday, Ecuador reported 362 new COVID-19 cases and nine additional fatalities, all of which occurred over the past 24 hours.

In total, Ecuador has reported 175,269 COVID-19 cases and 12,839 coronavirus related fatalities.

The United States is currently leading global COVID-19 cases with over 10.3 million infections and 243,820 fatalities, although India follows closely behind with 8.5 million cases and 126,954 deaths. As for the third-highest case toll and death toll, Brazil follows with 5.6 million cases and 162,397 deaths, Russia with 1.7 million cases and 30,793 deaths, and France with 1.7 million cases and 40,439 coronavirus related deaths.

The novel coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on Dec. 31, 2019, and has infected more than 51 million individuals worldwide, resulting in over 1.3 million fatalities across 216 countries and territories.
