
On Saturday, Germany reported 6,851 new COVID-19 cases and 71 additional fatalities, all of which occurred over the past 24 hours.
In total, Germany has reported 908,510 COVID-19 cases and 14,147 coronavirus related fatalities.
The United States is currently leading global COVID-19 cases with over 12.3 million infections and 260,791 fatalities, although India follows closely behind with 9 million cases and 132,983 deaths. As for the third-highest caseload and death toll, Brazil follows with 6 million cases and 168,687 deaths, France with 2.1 million cases and 48,265 deaths, and Russia with 2 million cases and 35,778 coronavirus related deaths.
The novel coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on Dec. 31, 2019, and has infected more than 58 million individuals worldwide, resulting in over 1.3 million fatalities across 217 countries and territories.
