
On Tuesday, Germany reported 4,676 new COVID-19 cases and 112 additional fatalities, all of which occurred over the past 24 hours.
In total, Germany has reported 951,324 COVID-19 cases and 14,695 coronavirus related fatalities.
The United States is currently leading global COVID-19 cases with over 12.7 million infections and 263,916 fatalities, although India follows closely behind with 9.1 million cases and 134,383 deaths. As for the third-highest caseload and death toll, Brazil follows with 6 million cases and 169,541 deaths, France with 2.1 million cases and 49,232 deaths, and Russia with 2.1 million infections and 37,031 deaths.
The novel coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on Dec. 31, 2019, and has infected more than 59 million individuals worldwide, resulting in over 1.4 million fatalities across 217 countries and territories.
