On Friday, Czechia reported 13,274 new COVID-19 cases and 62 additional fatalities, all of which occurred over the past 24 hours.
In total, Czechia has reported 732,022 COVID-19 cases and 11,711 coronavirus related fatalities.
The United States is currently leading global COVID-19 cases with over 20.4 million infections and 354,215 fatalities, although India trails behind with 10.2 million cases and 149,018 deaths. As for the third-highest caseload and death toll, Brazil follows with 7.6 million cases and 194,976 deaths, Russia with 3.1 million cases and 57,019 deaths, and France with 2.6 million infections and 64,632 deaths.
The novel coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on Dec. 31, 2019, and has infected more than 83.8 million individuals worldwide, resulting in over 1.8 million fatalities across 218 countries and territories.
