In total, France has reported 2,639,773 COVID-19 cases and 64,765 coronavirus related fatalities.
The United States is currently leading global COVID-19 cases with over 20.5 million infections and 355,918 fatalities, although India trails behind with 10.3 million cases and 149,205 deaths. As for the third-highest caseload and death toll, Brazil follows with 7.6 million cases and 195,152 deaths, Russia with 3.1 million cases and 57,555 deaths, and France with 2.6 million infections and 57,555 deaths.
The novel coronavirus was first discovered in Wuhan, Hubei, China, on Dec. 31, 2019, and has infected more than 84.2 million individuals worldwide, resulting in over 1.8 million fatalities across 218 countries and territories.
