On Wednesday, French health officials reported 8,577 new coronavirus infections, taking the total caseload in the country to 344,101, and marking the second-highest number of daily reported infections since the start of the outbreak in France.
Health authorities also reported 30 additional fatalities, taking the cumulative death toll in the country to 30,794.
